Welcome Pack 763!

Pack 763 is looking for support in our annual Scouting For Food drive. 2020 has been challenging for so many families. We have partnered with FeedMore to help our local community. Items in greatest demand are: Peanut Butter, Cereal, Whole Grain Snacks, Canned items with meat, and Dried Beans. Scouts are in your neighborhood this week to deliver Door Hangers to promote the food drive. As a token of gratitude, Papa Johns has provided a 40% coupon and Smithfield Foods has provided a coupon as well. These door hangers are yellow and have been placed in either your newspaper slot (under your mailbox) or on your actual door knob.

**Pick up day is this Saturday, November 21, at 10:00 am**

Please place your donation in a bag either on your porch or near your mailbox. Pick up is only at homes who have received a door hanger. If you did not receive one, please take your donation directly to Kroger drop off locations. Thank you in advance and have a Happy and Safe Holiday!

IN-PERSON DEN MEETINGS!: We are doing in-person meetings as much as possible.  Masks are encouraged for all outdoor events and during any indoor events, they are mandatory.  Arrow of Light scouts get their Outdoor Adventurer achievement completed with tent building, knot making, packing/rules/site learning, and S'MORES!

2020 FISHING DERBY:  Congratulations to Lucas (Most Fish Caught), James Patrick (Biggest Catch) and Ross (Most Accurate Goldfish Count). We couldn’t ask for better weather today. Thank you to everyone that came out to our first pack meeting and Fishing Derby. We saw lots of old friends and met some new ones.

Have Fun, Make Friends, See New Things.

For over 100 years, Scouts have been having the time of their lives making new friends and learning new skills in an environment designed to help them succeed. From building their own pinewood derby® car to learning how to roast the perfect marshmallow with their best friends at a family campout, your child will LOVE being a Scout while they learn to set personal goals. You will meet other parents who are just like you, trying to teach their children strong values and how to achieve success in life while still having fun as a family.

Pack 763 provides a great scouting experience for children in kindergarten through fifth grade.  Cub Scouting is a family-oriented program that instills values such as citizenship, teamwork, honesty, respect, responsibility, and fitness, while being a lot of fun! We want the scouts to have a great time, while teaching them something along the way. We also believe that an important part of scouting is giving back to the community through service projects.

Our pack meetings are on the 3rd Monday of each month and "pre-covid" were held at Shady Grove Elementary School. With kids on a 9-week virtual schedule, our plan is to place a heavy emphasis on facilitating in-person, outdoor activities while following CDC guidelines.  We are finalizing our schedule now so please check back to see all the new activities our pack has planned! Den meeting schedules will be provided by the respective leader.
